TERMARGARA, April 27: The Pakistan Muslim League (N), Dir district, has termed the referendum undemocratic and unconstitutional.
Talking to Dawn on Friday, district PML president Mohammad Rashid said that according to Article 48 of the Constitution a president can be elected by an electoral collage only, comprising the Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies.
He said the PML workers would boycott the referendum.
He said that people were aware of those turncoats who had joined President Pervez Musharraf’s camp as soon as the political climate had changed. He said the PML was united under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif.—Correspondent
