KARACHI: Power of attorney

Published April 25, 2002

KARACHI, April 24: The registration, stamps, evacuee properties wing of the Board of Revenue, Sindh, had extended twice the date for obtaining power of attorney for consideration up to April 30, 2002.

The public has been informed that no extension on the time limit beyond April 30 would be allowed and in case the opportunity was not availed, the quantum of penalty to be imposed would be revived, which is prescribed up to ten times of the deficit amount of stamp duty required on a power of attorney obtained for consideration.

The 20 per cent reduction in valuation table shall also expire on April 30 and the public would have to pay the stamp duty on the full value of the property, ignoring the 20 per cent concession granted earlier. — PPI
