Imran excels for PAF

LAHORE, April 17: Fine play by Imran who scored 24 points helped Pakistan Air Force (PAF) beat Pakistan Navy 65 -64 in the opening match of the fourth All Pakistan Noor invitation basketball tournament at the Defence Stadium, Lahore Cantt Tuesday night.

The airmen led the first half by a clear margin of 34-25. But the seamen staged a comeback and found themselves only a point behind before the final whistle.

Besides Imran, the other major scorers for the winners were Gul Jamal and Nadeem who contributed 17 and 10  points, respectively.

For the losing side, Shoaib fought well and scored 23 points. He was ably supported by Ghulam Mustafa who earned 19 points.
