PESHAWAR: ‘Cottage industries to be developed’

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, April 15: NWFP Minister for Industries, Commerce and Information Technology Mohsin Aziz has said that all local resources will be properly utilized towards the development of cottage industries, which are vital to economic growth.

Speaking at an industrial exhibition inauguration ceremony here on Sunday, he said a combination of neglect and poor planning by former governments, had slowed down the industrialization process in the NWFP.

The government had opened new avenues of investment to encourage industrialists to employ local resources and produce good quality products, he said. The minister congratulated the organisers for organising such an exhibition.
