LAHORE, April 11: A dying minute goal by Zain Khakwani enabled IK’s Own to beat Texcon Research 6-5 in the April Cup polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club on Thursday.

At the start of the fourth chukker, IK’s Own were leading 4-3, but Tanvir Tariq and Asif Yar Tiwana scored back-to-back goals in the fourth chukker to put Texcon Research ahead 5-4.

Col. Talat Zia, scored the equaliser for the winners, before Zain Khakwani struck the match-winner to carry his team through to a 6-5 triumph.

For the winners, Irfan Ali Hyder was the top-scorer with three goals. The remaining one goal was scored by Amjad.

For the losing side, Asif scored two goals while Adnan Lone, Feroze Gulzar and Tanvir chipped in with one goal apiece.
