MIRPURKHAS, April 11: Four unidentified bandits killed four persons, including on of their accomplice, and injured four others in Wali Mohammad Lashari village, Belaro deh, Mirpurkhas taluka, here on Thursday.

The bandits came to Wali Mohammad Lashari village and made a villager, Bux Ali Lashari, hostage on gunpoint and entered his house where three dogs stopped them. They shot dead the dogs and entered the house.

Later, the armed persons opened indiscriminate firing on the inmates. As a result three inmates, Manthar Lashari, 25, Ms Tajan, 30, wife of Ali Bux Lashari, and Ms Noor Jehan alias Noori, 35, wife of Bux Ali, died on the spot.

Wali Mohammad Lashari, 60, Paryal, 20, Ms Siddho, 8, and Ms Shamshad alias Shammoon, 50, wife of Wali Mohammad, sustained bullet injuries.

As the assailants came out of the house, a dispute took place between the armed persons and one of their accomplice, Iqbal Lashari, a wanted criminal. The armed persons also shot him dead and escaped from the scene.

The bodies and injured persons were taken to the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital by the taluka police.

The reason behind the murders is said to be some matrimonial dispute.
