WASHINGTON, April 11: Pakistan ambassador to the United States Dr Maleeha Lodhi has been honoured as “the diplomat of the highest order in the service of Pakistan” and for her leadership role in South Asia, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

The award has been given to her by the National Advisory Council on South Asian Affairs (NACSAA), an organization of South Asian Americans that works closely with the administration, Congress, academic institutions and the media.

The announcement was made at a Day King symposium at the Wyndham City Centre by the NACSAA to discuss whether “South Asia is the most dangerous place on earth.”

Dr Bshisnu Poudel, vice president of the Virginal International University, currently chairing the NACSAA, praised Ambassador Lodhi for projecting her country’s image and policies in Washington.
