KARACHI, April 10: India’s hegemonic aspirations have been termed a major impediment to peace in South Asia by leading newspaper editors of the region. They believe that India is not going to let Pakistan off the hook as no “softliner” is left in India for Pakistan.
They emphasized the urgent need for dialogue between India and Pakistan.
These views were expressed by some of the participants to the recently-concluded two-day South Asian Editor’s Forum conference who also included a sitting MP from India.
