PHF names probables for camp

LAHORE, April 9: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has invited 48 probables to attend the training camp to be held at the National Hockey Stadium here from May 6.

The camp is being set up to finalise a Pakistan team for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games scheduled to be held at in July and for a proposed tour of Spain which is likely to be undertaken before the Manchester Games.

The Spain Hockey Federation has shown willingness to host Pakistan for a three-Test series.

The probables will report to the manager/camp commandant Lt. Col. (retd.) Zafar Ali Khan at the National Hockey Stadium on May 5.

Former Olympian Naveed Alam who showed impressive performance in the national hockey championship has been recalled after a being ingnored for almost four years.
