FAISALABAD, April 9: A boy was shot dead by dacoits in Shahbazpur here on Monday night.
Some masked bandits forced their entry into the house of Ashraf and started looting valuables. The family raised an alarm when the bandits were fleeing. A neighbour, Dilbar Husain, rushed to the scene and overpowered one of the bandits. But his accomplices opened fire on Dilbar, injuring him seriously. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The gangsters fled by taking an advantage of darkness.
