Wapda women bag honours

LAHORE, April 6: Wapda won the inaugural national women cycling championship title with 29 points at the cycling velodrome Saturday.

Wapda captured their third gold of the event after gaining excellence in the 3000m team pursuit through Raheela Bano who was followed by Taskeen Qadeer of Army and Hina Chaudhary of Wapda.

Army claimed the runners-up place with 24 points. Railways and Punjab secured third and fourth positions.

Wapda’s rider Raheela was declared the fastest cyclist of the competition.—APP
