DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 5: A complete shutter-down strike was observed here on Thursday by the chemists and druggists of the city to protest against the imposition of general sales tax on medicines.

The strike was observed on the call of Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association, NWFP. During the strike, all medicine markets and medical stores in the city remained closed.

The PCDA had set April 3 as the dead-line to the government to withdraw its decision of sales tax on medicines.
