ABBOTTABAD, April 5: Senior politician Asghar Khan on Friday suggested disqualification of all those politicians who had covertly taken money from the secret agencies.

Speaking at a press conference at Press Club he supported the policies of Gen Pervez Musharraf and said people would favour him in the proposed referendum.

Talking about the politicians opposing the referendum, Asghar Khan said that when they were in power, they had invited the army to help them in civilian matters.

The army traced out the ghost schools, recovered losses of WAPDA and conducted census, which were civil jobs, he said.

He said most steps taken by the regime were in the interest of the nation and demanded continuity of the actions.

He said in the past democracy could not flourish due to incompetent politicians as all of them were from the feudal class and the country was being run by the bureaucrats.
