ISLAMABAD, April 3: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has withdrawn cash incentives it had announced last November for coaches as it led to leg-pulling and politics, a top official said Wednesday.
Sqd Ldr Sajid Waheed, the PSF secretary told Dawn that the decision to offer incentives to the coaches had not worked out as it had been expected.
President of PSF, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mushaf Ali Mir, during the Annual General Meeting of the federation had announced a cash award of Rs 1 million to any coach who would help bring a player among the top ten in international rankings.
Similarly, a top five effort would have earned the coach Rs 1.5 million while a reward of Rs 2.5 million was being offered for producing a champion.
