ISLAMABAD, April 3: The federal minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas, Abbas Sarfaraz Khan, has called upon the international community to take notice of the Indian armed forces atrocities in the occupied Kashmir and frequent firing on Line of Control, killing and injuring innocent people.

Sarfaraz Khan, who is also in charge of AJK council said that the people injured by the Indian firing across the Line of Control deserve maximum help and the council was trying to do that.

This he said while speaking at a ceremony of handing over two ambulances on behalf of the council for the Kashmiri victims in AJK on Wednesday.

Alleging that India was targeting the innocent population living close to the Line of Control since long he said, but it has failed in the effort to shatter their determination and will.

Mr Khan further stated that violations of the LoC demand urgent attention of the United Nations and other world organizations.

He said, world powers could play a significant role in persuading India to agree on an early solution of Kashmir issue in the best interest of the people of Kashmir in particular and the whole region in general.

The minister stated that the people injured due to the Indian firing on LoC deserve our attention and help.

He said the donation of ambulances has been made keeping the same spirit in view.

Present on the occasion were members of AJK council Mumtaz Hussain Naqvi, Syed Ghulam Raza Naqvi, Dr Najeeb Naqi, secretary AJK council secretary Shafqat Ezdi Shah and others.
