KARACHI, April 2: Twenty-four vehicles — 10 cars and 14 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Tuesday, police said.

Six cars were hijacked. Four others were stolen.

Three motorcycles were hijacked. Eleven others were stolen.

Police also claimed on Tuesday to have recovered four vehicles-(ACX-475, K- 5849, JM-5594 and JL-7033) in the city.

SUICIDE: A young man committed suicide in Buffer Zone.

Police said Nasir Lodhi, aged 30, hanged himself from a ceiling fan after locking himself up in a room in a house in Sector 15-A of Buffer Zone.

Police said Nasir resided in South Africa and here he was staying at his brothers’ house. Nasir’s family were in South Africa and here he was visiting with his brothers.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

DIES: A young died when he fell into a well in Landhi.

Police said Lal Khan, aged 25, was playing cricket with his friends when the ball went into a 60-foot deep water well.
