PESHAWAR, March 24: Two low-grade employees of the Government High School for Girls at Mitha Khel in Karak have not received their salaries for no obvious reasons as they have been performing their duties regularly at the school since May 1999.
Lawang Bibi, an aged lady, who works as laboratory assistant, and Abdul Wahab Khan, a young watchman, both looking after their families, find it difficult to make both ends meet.
Since their employment, they have received no wages whatsoever despite the fact that the district education department bosses know that the two employees have been working for more than two and a half years now, sources in the district education department revealed.
The two poor souls said that despite their several appeals to the high-ups for the release of their wages, no favourable action was taken by the concerned quarters.
Lawang Bibi, who has five daughters, says it is very difficult for her to feed her family as her husband is bed-ridden for the last many years and is out of job. The watchman, who also has a big family to feed, finds it difficult to cope with the situation.
