Arrests condemned
GUJRANWALA, March 23: People’s Party divisional president Chaudhry Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, and leaders Chaudhry Shah Nawaz Cheema, Chaudhry Zahid Pervez and office-bearers strongly criticized the government for arresting the ARD leaders in Lahore to stop them from holding a public meeting outside Mochi Gate.
At a meeting held here on Saturday they alleged the government was pressing the public voice by arresting their leaders. They demanded immediate release of all the arrested leaders.
They demanded that general election should be held in time. —Correspondent
