Security tightened in Orakzai, Mansehra

By Our Correspondent

ORAKZAI, March 19: Political administration of Orakzai Agency has tightened security arrangements and deployed Frontier Corps at all sensitive spots of the agency.

The administration declared Mirbak, Kalaya, Litera and Feroz Khel as sensitive areas and banned the movement of Afghan refugees. The administration also called out law enforcement contingents from Thall.

Levy force and FC contingents have taken positions in the surroundings of Kalaya, the agency headquarter and established checkpoints on various routes.

Adds our Mansehra correspondent: Army and para-military troops have been called in Mansehra to help the law enforcing agencies in the maintenance of peace during Muharram.

The deployment of police in and around the Markazi Imam Bargah in Muftiabad has been ensured by the district administration. A number of meetings have been held between the district Nazim of Mansehra, local Ulema, representatives of the Shia community and the police officials of Mansehra for an agreement on the route of Ashoora procession on the 10th of Muharram.
