Hazara leader killed

QUETTA, March 18: Three masked-men gunned down a prominent leader of the Hazara community in coal mines town of Much, some 80 kilometres from here on Sunday night, police said.

According to police sources, Haji Jan Mohammad Hazara was on his way to attend Muharram Majlis when he was fired upon and seriously injured. He died on way to hospital.

The assailants, who were three in number, succeeded in fleeing before the police got there.

Haji Jan Mohammad was elected councilor in the last local bodies elections.

Much police have registered a case against the unknown assailants.
