HYDERABAD, March 16: A large number of HDA employees staged a protest sit-in at the Society Chowk and a demonstration outside the press club on Saturday against the non-payment of their two month salaries and overtime and non-acceptance of their demands.

They raised slogans against the HDA administration and managing director WASA.

Speaking to the protesters the leaders of the employees union Khamiso Khan Jatoi and Khalid Qambrani said that the workers had not received their salaries for the last two months and their families were starving.

They said that the employees were also deprived of their uniforms, overtime and other legal facilities. They added that the union had also given an 11-point charter of the workers.

They said that the workers would enlarge the scope of their protest if the charter of workers was not accepted.

PROTEST MARCH: About one hundred members of the Khaskheli community held a protest march from Haider Chowk to press club where they demonstrated to protest the registration of a false case against Ghulam Mustafa Khaskheli, elected Nazim of Samaro, district Mirpurkhas.

Speaking to the protesters, the leaders of the Khaskheli community said that their chief Ghulam Mustafa Khaskheli was being implicated in a false murder case of a student of Mirwah Gorchani, Altaf Khaskheli.

They claimed that although his name was not mentioned in the FIR, yet he was being falsely involved in the murder of the student.
