DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 15: The district government has banned the entry of 54 Ulema/zakirs into the limits of Dera Ismail Khan under section 144 Cr.PC with immediate effect.

According to a notification, the Ulema are: Prof Faqir Hussain, Syed Abbas Naqvi, Abdul Qadir Reprib, Maulana Hasan Asghar, Maulana Syed Agha Ali Musvi, Ghulam Hussain Raza Musvi, Allama Nasir Kazmi and Maulana Gulfam Hashmi (all from Lahore); Fazal Hussain Alvi, Maulana Ghulam Abbas Najfi, Maulana Abdul Rauf Chishti, Maulana Allah Wasaya, Maulana Sultan Mehmood, Maulana Mohammad Taunsvi, Maulana Azam Tariq, Shaikh Hakim Ali and Maulana Masudur Rehman (all from Jhang); Maulana Kawaka Hussein Rive, Maulana Ziaul Qasmi, Maulana Sher Mohammad Silvi, Maulana Faqir Jamil, Maulana Faqir Jami, Maulana Mohammad Rafiq and Maulana Ataur Rehman Farooqi (all from Faisalabad); Maulana Fatehuddin Chishti, Maulana Ahmad Saeed, Maulana Hassan Askari, Maulana Qazi Abdul Latif, Maulana Mohammad Ramzan Naqshbandi, Maulana Mohammad Taqi Shah and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haqqani (all belonging to Multan); Shajjar Hussain, Tajuddin Haidri and Maulana Ziaullah Shah (all from Gujrat/Gujranwala); Rahim Bakhsh, Maulana Qazi Bashir, Abdul Ghafoor and Mazhar Abbas alias Bijli (Dera Ghazi Khan); Zameer Baqir, Maulana Mohammad Aslam Khichi, Maulana Mohammad Yahya Farooqi and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haqqani (Bhakkar), Maulana Shabbir Hussain of Hafizabad, Malik Ejaz of Khushab, Maulana Kifayatullah of Layyah, Maulana Mohammad Amin of Okara, Maulana Abdul Sattar Zia, Shafiqur Rehman Darkhwasti of Kamalia, Maulana Yar Mohammad Abid of Bahawalnagar, Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi of Mianwali, Manzoor Ahmad Piracha of Kohat, Maulana Fazal Hussain of Chakwal, Maulana Ali Sher Haidri of Khairpur and Prof Abdul Hakeem of Hyderabad.

No person of D.I. Khan, says the notification, should invite any religious leaders from other districts to any gathering or majlis without permission from the district government.

The order will remain enforced for 60 days, says the notification.
