DAGs to be appointed

ISLAMABAD, March 8: The government has decided to fill all the vacancies of deputy attorney-generals (DAG) and standing counsels for the federation.

The names of the prospective law officers were reportedly finalised on Thursday in a meeting between the attorney-general and law minister. Appointments are likely to be made soon. There are 14 vacant posts of DAG and standing counsels.

Under the rules, the opinion of attorney-general has primacy in appointment of DAGs and standing counsels.—Staff Reporter
