11 killed in Kashmir


SRINAGAR, March 3: Eleven people, including eight Mujahideen, were killed in a string of clashes in occupied Kashmir, police said on Sunday.

They said Indian forces, in a gunbattle on Friday night, shot dead three “foreign militants” in Rajouri district, southwest of Srinagar.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Indian forces claimed killing two members of the Lashkar-i-Taiba in Anantnag district.

Elsewhere a policeman, two civilians and three Mujahideen died in clashes since Saturday evening, police said.—Reuters
