HYDERABAD, Feb 25: The Sakhipir police have arrested a man on the charges of strangling a young boy after subjecting him to sodomy.

The police initially arrested six persons after recovering the body of Zeeshan in a gunny bag near Shamdas Park on Thursday.

Finally, the police released five persons and detained Majeed Qureshi, 35, claiming to have recovered the blood stained clothes of the boy, gunny bag and the cloth used for strangling the boy.

The police after finding the body of Zeeshan packed in a gunny bag said that he was subjected to sodomy before being throttled to death.

Zeeshan was missing since Wednesday. His parents reported the matter to the Sakhipir police on Thursday.

Later some people informed the police picket of Fareed Plaza that they had seen a gunny bag near Shamdas Park on the embankment of Phuleli Canal.
