KARACHI: HSC exam results


KARACHI, Feb 20: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi on Wednesday announced the results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) part-II pre-medical supplementary examinations 2001.

About 1,206 male candidates had registered for the exams, of whom 1,143 appeared and only 226 candidates were declared pass. The pass percentage was 19.77 only.

Out of 2,505 female candidates, 2,372 appeared in the exams and 649 were declared successful with 27. 36 pass percentage.

PTC RESULTS: The Board has also announced the results of Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) annual examinations 2001.

Salma Naureen, roll No. 30973, Govt Elementary College of Education, Shah Faisal Colony, bagged first position by obtaining 1,112 marks. Sadia Akhtar roll No. 30689 of GECE for Women, Hussainabad, stood 2nd by getting 1092 marks, while Shamoona Aleem roll No. 30681 of the same college bagged 3rd position with 1075 marks.

1422 candidates had appeared in the exams out of whom 758 candidates were declared pass. The passed percentage was 53.31.

DIPLOMA: The BIEK announced the results of second-year Diploma in Education annual examinations 2001.

Ten out of 14 candidates were declared pass in nine subjects and only four passed eight subjects.

CT RESULTS: The Board of Intermediate Education announced results of Certificate of Teaching (CT) annual examinations 2001.

Salma IRshad roll No. 34,135 of Govt Elementary College of Education, Liyari, bagged first position by obtaining 1,111 marks, while Sameena Bibi roll No. 34,136 by securing 1,100 marks and Saeeda Bano roll No. 34,134 of the same college with 1,099 marks bagged second and third positions.—PPI
