SKARDU, Feb 18: An amount of Rs 5,500,000 would be spent on various development schemes in Ghanche district through Khushhall Pakistan Programme (KPP), official sources told Dawn on Sunday.

The District Advisory Board (DAB) at a meeting approved the developmental projects.

An amonut of Rs 2,940,000 will be spent on the metalling of the road from High School Khaplu to civil hospital. In another project, Khaplu pologround will be converted into a stadium with a cost of Rs 1,350,000.

The board has also allocated Rs 625,000 for construction of the boundary wall of High School Khaplu. The advisory board has also allocated Rs 600,000 for the construction of various water channels in the district.
