KARACHI, Feb 14: Eighteen vehicles — eight cars and 10 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, the police said.

Four cars were hijacked. Four others were stolen.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

ROBBERIES: Three robberies were committed in the city on Thursday, the police said.

Two men barged into the house of Fasih Qureshi in Gulshan-i-Zahoor, Husainabad, held the family as hostage at gunpoint, and got away with cash, jewellery and other valuables.

Nazimuddin reported to the police that five armed men stormed into his house and looted cash, gold jewellery and a pistol in Nazimabad. Three men robbed Mahmood of cash in Saddar.
