Raja Sarwar Shaheed’s wife expires

GUJJAR KHAN, Feb 8: The wife of Raja Sarwar Shaheed (Nishan-i-Haider) expired in her native village Sangoori three days back, Dawn learnt on Friday.

She was laid to rest on Thursday in her native village. Sources in the family claimed she was 85.

Capt Sarwar was the first to be decorated with supreme military award Nishan-i-Haider for sacrificing his life for the motherland in 1948.

His only son and a daughter are settled in the village.
