PESHAWAR: Gambling in fairs condemned

PESHAWAR, Feb 4: Central Information Secretary of Awami National Party Haji Mohammad Adeel has condemned the practice of gambling going on in several exhibitions (Mela) which began in the city soon after the setting up of local bodies.

Talking to party workers at a meeting here the other day, Haji Adeel asked the public representatives to take notice of this situation and raise this issue in the council sessions to bring to end to this practice.

He said the district government should prepare a transparent police for the holding of fairs.—PPI
