70,000 phones

LAHORE, Jan 30: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has decided to install around 70,000 new telephone connections till June, 2002, in Gujranwala region.

This was decided at a meeting of the development and operational staff held here on Wednesday.

The meeting directed the staff concerned to complete the pending development work so that new connections could be available to customers. It also decided to take steps to improve the customer care service.
