ICC job for Pakistan’s Subhan

KARACHI, Jan 24: The International Cricket Council Thursday announced the first three appointments made under a new programme of six-month secondments from international cricket boards to the game’s ruling body with Pakistan’s Subhan Ahmed getting one post, an ICC release said.

“The three successful applicants have been selected from more than 30 candidates representing cricket boards in Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Secondments were offered to all ten ICC Full Member Boards,” it said.

Subhan, 33, has been seconded to work for the ICC Development International (IDI), the commercial arm of the ICC, which is based in Monaco.

“Subhan has been with the PCB for seven years and is currently its cricket operations manager. His first ICC assignment is as event coordinator for the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, where he is an integral part of ICC Commercial Manager Campbell Jamieson’s team at the tournament,” the release said.—SADA
