ASI hurt in shootout, expires
BAHAWALNAGAR, Jan 15: The ASI, who received injuries in an encounter with culprits, expired here on Monday.
Nazir Ahmad of Khichiwala police station was injured in firing by the culprits during a campaign against illegal weapons. He succumbed to his injuries in the ICU of the DHQ Hospital after two days.
His funeral prayer was attended by District Nazim Ali Akbar Wain, DCO Chaudhry Muhammad Azhar, SP Naeem Akram Bharoka and other officials.
