25 injured in chain collision

KASUR, Jan 14: At least 25 people sustained critical injuries when four buses and a tractor-trolley collided with eachother near Pattoki on Monday.

Reports reaching here revealed a bus (LXP-5575) overturned reportedly because of slippery surface. Meanwhile, a tractor-trolley’s driver parked his vehicle to see the accident when the bus (PRQ-5832) following it turned turtle after colliding with it. Another rashly-driven coaster (LXK-2822) crashed into the bus as its driver failed to apply emergency brakes.

The chain collision left 25 passengers injured.

ARRESTED: A local police team on Monday nabbed five Lashkar-i-Tayyaba activists and sealed as many offices of the Lashkar and Jaish-i-Muhammad.

The offices were sealed in Kot Radha Kishan, Bhai Pheru, Pattoki and Kasur. Those arrested included Muhammad Iqbal, Sajjad Ahmad, Abdullah, Muhammad Ashraf and Muhammad Jabbar.
