SIALKOT, Jan 14: A villager was injured in firing by the Indian security forces in the Sucheetgarh sector of the Sialkot working boundary, here on Monday.
Official sources said Muhammad Arshad was on his way back home when bullets hit him. He was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in precarious condition.
The Indians continued intensified firing in all the sectors of the working boundary, the sources claimed.
DISTRICT NAZIM: The country’s defence is in strong hands as president Gen Pervez Musharraf has instilled in people a sense of devotion.
This was stated in a press release by the Sialkot District Nazim, Mian Naeem Javed, during his visit to various villages in the Bajwat sector on Monday.
Appreciating the country’s defence, the Nazim hoped life would be normal in all the Pakistani border villages in a few days, the press release added.
During his visit to the houses of those who sacrificed their lives, Mr Javed paid rich tributes to them and offered Fateha.
