LARKANA, Jan 11: The hunt against dacoits continues in Larkana as police in a raid arrested two more dacoits from Dokri on Friday.

The district police officer (DPO), Larkana, Ghulam Nabi Memon on Friday told this correspondent that six armed dacoits on late Thursday night signalled a car on Wahnee Road, near Mohenjodaro, to stop. Its driver, Safdar Tatri, kept on driving. The dacoits opened fire. However, luckily nobody was hurt.

He said that the SHO, Badah, was tipped off that the dacoits were in Abad Gadhi village so he raided it along with a contingent of police. Soon police were able to arrest two dacoits — Ali Sher Gadhi and Nadir Gadhi — and recovered a Kalashnikov, a single-barrel gun, a magazine, 21 bullets, and 11 cartridges.
