HYDERABAD, Jan 5: Villagers belonging to Saiful Nandwani goth, Habib Unner goth, and Mati goth of Hyderabad Taluka held a protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Friday against the excesses of the local police.

Talking to newsmen, A. Bachayo Nandwani, Rais Niaz Nandwani, and Ghulam Rasool Lashari alleged that on Thursday night six policemen raided Malooka goth but when the people offered resistance they took to their heels.

They further said that the same policemen then raided Saiful Nandwani village, violated the sanctity of ‘chadar aur chardeewari’ and arrested Khair Muhammad, an employee of the Liaquat Medical University.

They demanded the authorities concerned to take notice of the high-handedness of the police, order Mr Khair’s release, and restore justice.
