HYDERABAD: Inquiry demanded

HYDERABAD, Jan 5: The elders of Goth Hussain Khan Thoro, Nangar Wasan and Goth Ghota, Hyderabad Taluka, have demanded of the authorities to order an inquiry against the two chairmen of Ushr and Zakat committees, Shahid Meerasi and Nadeem Bhatti, for allegedly misappropriating Zakat and Ushr funds.

Speaking at a joint news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club here on Saturday, they alleged that the deserving people of the area, including disabled persons, women and widows, had been deprived of Zakat and Ushr fund payment by the two chairmen.

They demanded the institution of an inquiry against the alleged corrupt practices of Shahid Meerasi, chairman, Zakat and Ushr Committee, Goth Hussain Khan Thoro, Nangar Wasan, and Nadeem Bhatti, chairman of Ushr and Zakat Committee, Goth Ghota.—Bureau
