KARACHI, Dec 26: The examinations department of the University of Karachi has announced the results of M.Sc (previous and final) Home Economics annual examinations 2001 and LL.M previous annual examinations 2001.

Mahwish Tanweer d/o Muhammad Tanveer seat no. 527 of R.L.A.K Govt.College of Home Economics, Karachi stood first by getting 753 marks, Shahnaz Fatima d/o Ijaz Ahmed seat no. 558 of the same college stood second by having 751 marks and Roohi Kanwal d/o Naeem Ahmed seat no. 565 of the same college bagged third position by getting 742 marks in the exams.

Statistics of the results announced on Wednesday revealed that of 89 registered candidates, 88 candidates appeared in the exams. 77 of them were declared successful in both parts. Pass percentage was over 92 percent.

In M.Sc (previous) annual Examinations 2001, some 99 candidates registered themselves with the KU exams department, of whom 96 candidates appeared in the exams. Some 77 candidates were declared passed in the exams with 80 percent pass percentage.

The KU examinations department also announced the results of LL.M previous annual examinations 2001 on Wednesday.

According to the statistics of the results, some 160 candidates registered themselves, of whom 130 appeared in the exams. Only 41 candidates were declared passed in the exams while more than 89 candidates were declared failed. The total pass percentage was 31. 54 percent.— PPI
