KARACHI: Witnesses summoned in hijacking case


KARACHI, Dec 22: An additional district and sessions judge, East, Syed Kausar Ali Shah Bokhari, has summoned witnesses on Jan 5 in a 21-year-old plane hijacking case against alleged agents of the Al-Zulfiqar Organization.

According to the prosecution, an international flight of PIA was hijacked and taken to Afghanistan and later to Syria where the alleged hijackers killed a Pakistani diplomat on board.

The accused/alleged hijackers include Murtaza Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto, sons of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Salamullah alias Tipu, Masroor Ahsan, Aftab Memon and Masood Hasan are other co-accused in the case.—APP
