US assures help for development

QUETTA Dec 13: United States Ambassador Wendy Chamberlain on Thursday reiterated the assurance that her country would cooperate with Pakistan in solving its economic and other problems.

Talking to Balochistan Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal at the Governor’s House, she thanked the federal and Balochistan governments and people for their cooperation with the US and the international community in the war against terrorism.

Appreciating the efforts of the Balochistan government in the development of the province, she said the US government would also contribute in those efforts, especially in education.

She told the governor that as soon as necessary funds were issued by the US government a comprehensive plan would be started for promotion of education in Balochistan.

Earlier, the governor briefed the ambassador about his government’s efforts for speedy development of the province.—APP
