PESHAWAR, Dec 10: Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan was sworn in as acting governor of NWFP in a simple ceremony at Governor House here on Monday.

Senior judge of the PHC, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, administered the oath to the acting governor.

NWFP Chief Secretary Major Naeem Khan (Rtd) read out the commission of appointment of Justice Raza as the acting governor during the absence of NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah who has proceeded abroad to perform Umrah.

Later, the acting governor administered oath to Justice Mian Shakirullah as acting Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.
