KOHAT, Dec 9: As many as 18 new monitoring committees were re-constituted during a special session of the Kohat district council here on Saturday for the normal functioning of various departments that have been merged.
A resolution was also adopted for the establishment of an exclusive head for tax collection at the district level to be supervised by the councillors.
The district council meeting was presided over by the Naib Nazim, Sardar Khan.
The council through different unanimous resolutions asked the government to start work on the Fateh Khan Khel Dam, re-shift the equipment meant for the KDA Hospital from other districts, supply Sui gas to areas from where the main line is passing, give payments to the land owners from where the pipe is passing, fix property tax rate and sale of non-customs paid vehicles.
The committees which were re-constituted are district coordination committee - Bilquees Hamayun, Fawad Khan and Rashid Khattak; education - Inayat Ali, Saadullah Shah and Nasim Akhtar; health - Arif advocate, Ziaullah Bangash and Chaman Sultan; agriculture - Atiqur Rehman, Abdul Haleem and Wazir Khan; community development - Shad Khan, Zakia Khatoon and Momin Khan; finance - Abdur Rahim, Falak Naz and Mohammad Omar; revenue - Nauman Shah, Ghalib Gul and Hizroon Jan; services and works - Sher Khan, Iqbal, Fazle Rabbi and Syed Mahtbul Hassan.
