Trials for regional teams from Dec 23

LAHORE, Dec 5: Trials to select rest of regional eleven cricket teams of all the four provinces will be held separately for each province on Dec 23 and 24.

The selected team will take part in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-I starting from Jan 2. The detail programme of the trials will be announced later.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed selection committees for each province and also named coaches and managers for the each provincial teams. For NWFP, Farrukh Zaman and Abdul Jalil will conduct the trials. The Punjab team will be selected by Aamer Malik, Ashraf Ali, Arshad Pervaiz and Masood Anwar. For Sindh, Brig (retd) Salahuddin and Anwar Khan are appointed for the selection of the team while for Baluchistan Mansoor Akhtar and Abdul Raqueeb are the selectors.

Farrukh Zaman and Abdul Jalil will also act as coach and manager, respectively of the NWFP team.

Naveed Anjum and Mohammad Jameel are appointed coach and manager, respectively of the Punjab team.

Anwar Khan and Pir Moazzam are named coach and manager, respectively for the Sindh team.

Mansoor Akhtar is the coach and Raj Hans is the manager of the Baluchistan team.
