LAHORE, Dec 5:Hamid Ali scored all the six goals, which constituted a double hat-trick, to earn Karachi Polo Club a 8-6 win over Mayfair in the Local polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Wednesday.
The KPC side enjoyed two goals advantage on the handicap and that proved decisive margin in the match as both the teams put in six goals, each during play. For the losing Mayfair team, Ahmad Ali Tiwana, Malik Asif Yar Tiwana and Taimur Mawaz Khan “Tony” scored two goals, each.
In another match of the tournament, Garrison Black Berets had an advantage of two goal on handicap but could not score a single goal during the game.
Deutsche Bank (DB) thrashed Garrison Black Berets to the tune of eight goals to two.
The four-goal handicap player Hamid Ali was on a goal-scoring spree as he struck at regular intervals for KPC. A spirited fight by Mayfair players could not save them from being beaten.
Hamid Ali scored both goals in the first chukker which gave KPC a 4-0 lead. Hamid scored a field goal and thereafter, scored on a spot penalty near the goalpost.
Ahmad Ali Tiwana scored a field goal for Mayfair at start of the second chukker and Malik Asif Yar Tiwana scored his first and Mayfair’s second goal, converting a 40 yards penalty-hit.
However, Hamid Ali scored two back-to-back goals to widen the margin (6-2) for KPC. Hamid converted a 40 yards penalty-hit which completed his hat-trick and later scored on a 60 yards penalty-hit.
Scoring in the third chukker was monopolised by Mayfair, which scored three goals to reduce the margin to 5-6.
Taimur Mawaz Khan “Tony” scored two back-to-back field goals. Ahmad Ali Tiwana scored his second goal again on a field effort, which was Mayfair’s fifth goal
During the fourth chukker, Hamid Ali again scored two back-to-back goals to complete his second hat-trick and take KPC’s tally to eight goals.
He converted a spot penalty near the goalpost and thereafter scored on a 30 yards penalty-hit. Malik Asif Yar Tiwana scored his second and Mayfair’s sixth goal on a 60 yards penalty-hit. But his effort fell short of requirement as KPC won 8-6.

Deutsche Bank faced no difficulty in defeating Garrison Black Berets, which displayed total lack of scoring power!
The losing team had to be content with the two goals it got on the handicap.
Although neither of the two teams could score during the first chukker but from the start of the second chukker till end of the match, Deutsche Bank kept on striking.
Captain Azhar Ali excelled by scoring four out of the total eight goals.
Azhar scored two goals during the second chukker. He scored on a 60 yards penalty-hit and later crowned a field effort. In between his two goals, Sufi Muhammad Haris scored a field goal.
At beginning of the third chukker, Azhar scored a field goal. Thereafter, Mir Shoaib Ahmad put in two back-to-back field goals.
Azhar scored his fourth goal at start of the fourth chukker on a 30 yards penalty-hit. Sufi Muhammad Amir scored his first and Deutsche Bank’s eighth goal, crowning a field effort. Thus Deutsche Bank won 8-2.
