ISLAMABAD, Dec 4: Federal Minister for Tourism and Culture Col (retd) S. K. Tressler has said a befitting mausoleum will be raised on the grave of Josh Maleehabadi in Islamabad.

He said poets like Josh Maleehabadi were great soldiers of liberation movement and building of their monuments is our national obligation.

He was speaking at a meeting of executive council of Josh Adabi Foundation and Josh Memorial Committee held on the occasion of 105th birthday of Hazrat Josh Maleehabadi here on Tuesday at National Language Authority .

Tressler said, Josh was an epoch-making literary personality and that human values was the subject of his poetry. He said, the liberation movement remained successful due to revolutionary poetry of Hazrat Josh Maleehabadi.

He said, all the proposals presented here would be implemented. “Like other countries, a befitting mausoleum on the grave of Josh Maleehabadi will be built,” he said.

Chairperson of Josh Adabi Foundation Mohtarma Tabassum Akhlaq presented various proposals stating that the poetry of Josh needs to be included in curriculum and he should be awarded with the Nishan-e-Imtiaz. She said, one important road of Islamabad should be associated after his name.

Farrukh Jamal Maleehabadi said, in Urdu faculty of any University of Pakistan, a chair in the name of Josh maleehabadi be established and arrangements be made for the republication of 26 books by Josh. Earlier, Col.(R) S.K. Tressler placed floral wreath on the grave on Josh Maleehabadi —APP
