KARACHI, Dec 3: Pakistan Cricket Club (PCC) registered five wickets win over Karachi Club to advance into the quarterfinal of the A.O.Floodlight Trophy Cricket Tournament at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium Sunday night.

Karachi Club batting first, raised 155 for seven wickets in their quota of 20 overs with enterprising half centuries from Hasan Arshad and Tariq Hussain.

Hasan blasted 63 off 39 deliveries with one six and seven fours while Tariq’s 51 included two sixesr and three boundaries. Shahid Iqbal made 18. Off-spinner Tabish Nawab was most successful bowler with three wickets for 18 runs. Adnan Khan (2-31) Iftikhar Ali (2-37) shared the other four wickets.

PCC in reply reached the winning target in 18.4 overs with Zameer Ahme Khan cracking a match winning undefeated 36 with three sizzling boundaries.

Tariq Haroon made hit 38 off 18 balls with four hits the boundary.—APP
