Woman killed, 12 injured on road

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 3: A woman was killed while a dozen others sustained injuries, two of them serious, in two road accidents here on Monday.

A woman, Bushra Bibi, was killed and nine others sustained injuries when a tractor-trolley crashed into a wagon on the Sangla Road.

Police are going into the matter.

Salim was on his way to Lahore from Faisalabad by his car. Near Kharianwala, his car collided head-on with a speeding bus coming from the opposite direction. Salim, Hanif and Murtaza received injuries and were admitted to a local hospital where Hanif and Murtaza were stated to be in serious condition.

Area police are investigating.

INQUIRY: Social and religious circles on Monday asked the Punjab Education secretary to finalize the inquiry against 13 officials and four senior clerks of the local education department allegedly involved in Rs6 million corruption.
