ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: Federal government has decided to re-register the old weapon licenses in Islamabad.
This was decided in a high level meeting held in the Ministry of Interior The meeting was attended by officials of law- enforcement agencies and district administration.
The meeting said that a pilot project of re-registration of weapon licenses would be started in Lahore also. It also discussed the ban on new licenses.
The meeting decided that a computerised database would also be prepared for the registration of new licenses.—PPI
