JI leader on govt’s failure

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Nov 13: The division of Afghanistan is a part of game plan, Jamaat-i-Islami Naib Ameer Liaquat Baluch said here on Tuesday.

Talking to newsmen at Jamaat’s district office, he expressed satisfaction over successful strike on Nov 9, insisting the functioning of present government was no more than a farce.

He said people had expressed no confidence over the policies of the current president.

He maintained the government was responsible for the fatal accident in Shadan Lond railway station on Nov 9. Four people expired due to firing by police on protesters who stopped the Chiltan Express.

He vowed to take up the matter to the superior court and urged the authorities concerned to release the arrested leaders without delay.

Protest against the arrest of Maulana Fazlur Rahman, Maulana Azim Tariq, Qazi Husain Ahmad and Maulana Samiul Haq on Nov 16 would be yet another success, he hoped.
